When it's time to start introducing your little one to solid foods, a mix of emotions are often felt by parents and caregivers. While your baby may be excited to start trying foods they see mom and dad eating, parents may feel anxious and nervous about this next step.  Not all babies are ready for this stage at the same age, and their preferences for flavours and textures also differ. When starting your baby on solid food, its important to watch them for cues and allow them to help guide you on how quickly to progress.

I work with many parents who come to me, seeking advice on feeding their picky or fussy eater.  More than 30% of parents report having a picky eater at home! As a pediatric Registered Dietitian, I feel that number is too high, and I believe we can do better.
